Jersey based independent electronic artist, Michael Donoghue offers up the latest release on IP’s experimental sub label, Irregular Frequencies. The 4 track EP, Island, resonates a personal depiction of island life, isolation, and loneliness.
Cut off from the mainland, like-minded people, and culture. The routine and predictability play out in Michael’s minimalistic, tense, yet fragile soundscapes using field recordings, including the monotonous repetition of the office photocopier.
The Island collection is constructed on foundations, which vibrate with discontented screaming restrained beneath the surface of island life conformity.
The release comes in both download and a strictly limited homemade CD release of only 10 copies both available via the link below.
