Over the past few months we’ve been working with a couple of new and exciting artists

Hydrogen Trees

One fine day Hydrogen Trees (David Cassette) followed us on Twitter. Being naturally curious we followed a link or two which took us to a Soundcloud treasure trove.

We were astounded by the beauty and vibrance of what we heard. The musical references just poured in: Sparklehorse, Damien Jurado, Elliot Smith, Daniel Johnston, Jeffrey Lewis, Bob Dylan, Joy Division, David Bowie, Nico, Car Seat Headrest….. it was just amazing!
David’s songs are captivating, like fleeting moments of an inspiration magically caught mid-flight onto cassette.

Working with his mate Ivan on a swathe of similarly captured videos we couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming releases.

Mahalla Honey

Mahalla we also approached after a random SoundCloud discovery… what we heard was raw talent, a great voice and original musicality – slightly off kilter a with an honest and dare we say it spiritual vibe.

Mahalla’s story is a painful and also beautiful journey of empowerment and musical discovery.

Now working with Bath based producer Simon Wiley, Mahalla is extending her musical vocabulary into new and exciting territories. This is a journey of discovery not only musically but personally as well.
